Fujitsu Scansnap Scanner For Mac

Thank you for contacting Fujitsu. The newly release ScanSnap Manager software was released for those customer who upgraded to the new iX1500 as well as customers who did not want to use ScanSnap Home but rather wanted use ScanSnap Manager again for scanning. We do not guarantee previous model scanners will work with the newly release ScanSnap Manager as well as there is no support for scanners not supported officially under OS Catalina.

Just downloaded the new ScanSnap Manager V7 for our S1500M scanner on our 2020 Macbook Pro with Catalina OS and the scanner works just fine quite similar to our other Macs running El Capitain, and High Sierra. Thank you Tidbits for letting this community know about V7!!!

I have not tried Home but I have tried Manager alongside other third party products. And it seems that only one software can bind to the scanner at a time at runtime. When you launch the second app, it complains that the scanner is in use or some such.

Please read list of missing feature on ScanSnap mfg pages. For me missing Scan to Email, and many more that might be more important to others. The support for older scanners is missing too.Unless ScanSnap updates the Manager and all other software it will be the end of Fujitsu. Their prices are unreasonable too.

Fujitsu appears to be in full development/restoration mode with ScanSnap Manager. The version I downloaded was labeled 7.1 L25, and for the most part looks like a modern version of the manager that was in the box when I purchased my scanner in 2011.

Switched to Big Sur recently and apart from my Mail app crashing a few weeks in it has been good. However now noticed that scans done with the scansnap now fail to utilise the built in OCR feature hanging for ages then issuing a fail notice. The resultant PDF is fine and you can do OCR in Acrobat but still annoying. I presume is some embedded Abby Finereader functionality that is failing . Maybe an update is needed. cheers Simon

A3+3 sec / A3USBNOCheck the price on AmazonFujitsu scanners compatible with Apple ComputersAs you probably know, Fujitsu offers two separate scanner series: the FI series and the Scansnap series.

In this sense, Fujitsu has chosen to target the OSX customers with their Scansnap series. Fujitsu considers that Mac users have smaller batches of documents and therefore only need low volume scanners.

Fujitsu Scansnap ix1500 is the most important model of the Scansnap line of scanners. It is designed to handle around 400 pages per day. The scanning speed is 30ppm and the ADF capacity should be around 50 sheets.

The beauty of this scanner is that you can complete the entire scanning process from the touch screen. You can either pre-configure the jobs and profiles, or you can use a Wizzard if you are a new user. The number of pre-assigned profiles is around 30.

+ It runs as a wireless scanner that is compatible with OSX and Apple products. + The scanner will run on a battery, scanning around 250 documents on a single charge. + It comes in a size and form factor that is perfect for moving around with you all day.

The ScanSnap iX500 scanner is covered by a one-year Limited Warranty. An upgrade to the Advance Exchange service program (sold separately) is also available to eligible purchasers at www.BuyFCPA.com. For full details on the Limited Warranty and on all service programs, go to www.ScannerOne.com or call (888) 395-8570

The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i document scanner for PC or Mac is capable of scanning up to 12 pages per minute / 24 images per minute. The 10 page ADF can cope with a mixed variety of single or double sided documents ranging in different size and thickness as well as colour or black and white.

Fujitsu sells 68 million dollars per year of scanners, with more than a billion dollars of scanners sold in total. Fujitsu has models for corporate large-volume scanning, and models for home office scanning.

VueScan also uses advanced features of Fujitsu document scanners, such as in-scanner JPEG compression to improve scan speed, automatic deskewing, automatic media size detection and double-feed detection.

The scanner sends scanned content to Mac or PC over USB or Wi-Fi. It also uploads to mobile devices thanks to mobile apps available in the iPhone App Store or Google Play Store. Fujitsu also offers ScanSnap Cloud, which means a user can scan directly to the Internet without even going through a computer or mobile device.

Scans look amazing and the scanner zips through sheets quickly at 25 pages in a minute at all but the highest resolution (600 dpi color mode handles only about 7). With double-sided scanning, we get up to 50 pages.

The scanner plugs into the computer for setup using a USB 3.0 cable. However, after the user sets it up, they can unplug the USB cable and connect over Wi-Fi alone. Wi-Fi connection works directly or through your Wi-Fi network. It also works without a computer connected at all using the ScanSnap Cloud service mentioned above.

The included software is a mix of complex and simple. I found that scanning to the cloud made the most sense. I set up my favorite file syncing service, OneDrive. From then on, I dropped all of my documents and photos into the scanner and they went to a folder in OneDrive, which then downloaded to my computer or showed up in the app on my iPhone, iPad and Galaxy S7 Edge. It was the easiest way to work with my documents.

For more details on the ScanSnap Connect Application for iOS or Android, look at the full review at GottaBeMobile.com. The site includes in-depth information about the mobile apps and how well they work with the scanner.

Clio's Fujitsu ScanSnap integration saves you time, by allowing you to scan documents from your ScanSnap scanner directly into a Matter in Clio. Clio makes document scanning easy; rather than scanning to your desktop, and then manually uploading it to Clio you can do both in a single step.

The following scanner models support this integration: ScanSnap iX1500, iX500, iX100, S1300i, S1100i, SV600, S1500, S1500M, and S1300. To use the integration you must also have a Fujitsu ScanSnap interface downloaded to your desktop. Fujitsu ScanSnap has two interfaces available: ScanSnap Manager and ScanSnap Home. We recommend you use ScanSnap Home, Fujitsu's newer interface if your scanner supports it.

Note for Mac users: macOS Catalina users with scanner models S1500, S1500M, or S1300 will be unable to use the Fujitsu ScanSnap integration as Fujitsu ScanSnap has ended support of ScanSnap Manager on Catalina OS. Mac users with scanner models S1500, S1500M, or S1300 can continue to use this integration by not upgrading to Catalina OS or by upgrading to a newer model scanner.

If you are using a Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner with the ScanSnap Home scanning software, you can follow the steps below to set it to scan your items into Neat. If you are using the Fujitsu ScanSnap IX1500, you can also scan via Wi-Fi by following the steps at the bottom of this article.

The brand has created a range of varied products, with options such as the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i or Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 for portability; the Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 for A3 scanning and book scanning, plus the market-leading A4 scanner, the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1500.

Our highest recommendation for a scanner is the ScanSnap line of scanners, produced by Fujitsu. ScanSnap scanners use a special program (called ScanSnap Manager or ScanSnap Home) to manage scan jobs and scanner settings.

If a scanner works with ScanSnap Manager or ScanSnap Home on your Mac (and if you can import directly to Finder from the scanner using ScanSnap Manager or ScanSnap Home), we support importing to Paperless from the scanner.

Fujtisu released updates to the firmware for the ScanSnap iX500 and to the release of ScanSnap Manager that ships with this model of scanner, to make it possible to import from this model of scanner directly to a computer over a WiFi connection.

Although it is not currently possible to use the Scan or Scan Multi buttons in Paperless to import new library items from a ScanSnap scanner connected via WiFi, we are aware of two strategies it should be possible to use to import directly to Paperless from a ScanSnap scanner connected via WiFi.

If Quick Menu is enabled, it should be possible to initiate a scan that will display Quick Menu by doing either of the following things after loading documents to scan into the scanner's automatic document feeder (ADF):

This method can be used to initiate a scan whether or not the Quick Menu is enabled. If the Quick Menu is disabled, however, it will be necessary to use a ScanSnap Manager profile for the scan that will export the completed scan to Paperless, in order to import directly to Paperless from the scanner.

It is still possible to import from a WiFi-enabled ScanSnap scanner over a USB connection. To import to Paperless directly from a ScanSnap scanner using the Scan and Scan Multi buttons, we suggest connecting the scanner directly to your computer. To import over a WiFi connection, please use one of the two strategies we describe above.

Because it is not currently possible to import using the Scan or Scan Multi buttons, please note that it will be necessary to connect your scanner via USB before performing the steps we provide in this article.
